Training
A four-module professional program — Foundations, Relational Practice, Advanced Integration, and Supervision & Practicum — delivered in China, Australia, and the United States.
Gestalt Therapy International convenes contemporary relational Gestalt therapy training, supervision, and consultation across the USA, Australia, China, and the wider world. The work began in 1988 and is grounded in the practice of dialogue — every member, student, partner, and client treated as a participant in the field that the work makes.
Three threads run through the work at Gestalt Therapy International. What is taught: short workshops, six-day intensives, and a four-year professional certificate program delivered internationally. How it is thought: through contemporary relational Gestalt — a frame sensitive to shame, attentive to support, and oriented to the co-created field. Where the wider learning lives: in the global Learn Gestalt library and at the cross-border conferences and partner schools that make the program international in fact, not only in name.
The best of traditional Gestalt — authenticity, responsibility, contact, experiment — meets intersubjectivity, character styles, somatics, and field theory. The frame is held with care, but never used as a defensive structure.

Reflective and direct supervision for clinicians and managers, and organisational consultation for institutions and teams. Grounded in contemporary relational Gestalt.
An international faculty, an advisory board drawn from partner institutions, and a global community of practitioner convenors.
Grounded in the here and now. Each person is the best expert on themselves.
Focused on the client's perception. Change comes from being more fully oneself.
The therapist is willing to sit in the creative void — therapy without resistance.
The wider field: past, present, future; individual, family, culture.
Experiential learning. How, not why. Experiments embody abstract ideas in the moment.
